I am a story teller. Before putting any of these tales to paper,I have told them repeatedly. Although all true,perhaps time has embellished them. Perhaps an alternative title could have been,TALL SHORT TALES.

The purpose of this book is multi-fold. Although it serves to entertain,the biographical inclusions shed light on the molding of relationships. Life’s biggest mishaps provide us with our greatest lessons. Our most embarrassing moments are ego alien, and there-fore more likely to be suppressed rather than published. I have chosen to do the latter. Learning to laugh at oneself is both cathartic and healthy. One difficulty encountered in the organization of this book has been the challenge of integrating its two components:autobiographical notes and amusing vignettes. In this regard,I have begun with the former in Part I and the latter in Part II.

Reader, please do not despair. Rather consider that I offer two books for the price of one.(The poems are a freebie). What a deal! For those having little or no interest in the mun-dane events in the life of Glen Joshpe, please proceed directly to Part II.
